On 22nd June 2002, over 50 former pupils of Clayton's Junior School gathered
at the Spade Oak in Bourne End. Ages ranged from some sprightly 36 year
olds, up to some more stately 40-somethings. Three very brave teachers -
Peter Memory, Jill Deakin and Miss Brocklesby and school secretary Dorothy
Boughtflower - came along, and everyone had a great time. A raffle raised
£125 for the school, later generously 'topped up' to £200 by Paul Bowdrey.
If you missed it - you missed a great night! If you were there, we hope
these photos bring back some of the happy memories. There was a great deal of support for further reunions. We hope that by compiling a list of all those who attended, and by keeping track on FriendsReunited, we can get even MORE people together next time, or perhaps have several, more age-specific reunions. However, please remember these things don't just 'happen' - they need organising. If you want to enjoy further reunions then PLEASE put yourself forward as a prospective organiser nearer the time, don't just rely on those of us who did it this time! This is a simple web site, done in haste. Again, if you'd like to contribute, or do better - then please do! You can contact me (Julia Wherrell) on julia@jwalimited.co.uk |
